Derek Rago is the Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for McKesson Patient Relationship Solutions, a business unit of McKesson Corporation, which is dedicated to improving health outcomes by increasing patient adherence to prescribed medication regimens. He has over 15 years experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing and is currently responsible for managing the company’s core business solutions while playing a critical role in creating, defining and executing the organizations strategic and long-term goals.
Prior to this position, Mr. Rago was responsible for the marketing strategy and execution of the McKesson Specialty’s Reimbursement Services business unit which today manages many top biotech reimbursement programs. Prior to joining McKesson, Mr. Rago was a Director of Product Management at NDCHealth (now Symphony Health) where he pioneered the creation and development of new prescription informatic products for pharmaceutical manufacturers that optimized their sales and marketing efforts and allowed them to more effectively pursue market opportunities for their products.
Mr. Rago holds an M.B.A. with a dual emphasis in Marketing and Finance from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, Canada.
