Clinicians who are providing medical care to individuals in underserved regions throughout the world will now have another tool at their disposal.

Health eVillages, a healthcare and human rights advocacy consortium, secures new and refurbished mobile phone and handheld devices, loads those devices with the latest in clinical decision support technology, and ultimately provides those devices to medical professionals who are on the ground providing public health services in poor, remote and underserved areas.

Health eVillages has conducted pilot projects in several regions, including Haiti, Kenya, Uganda and the Greater Gulf Coast.

Physician’s Interactive, with its subsidiary Skyscape.com, Inc., in partnership with the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, formally announced the creation of Health eVillages during this year’s Health 2.0 Conference.
