NACD Fellows Demonstrate Their Commitment to the Highest Level of Leadership
in the Boardroom
Boston, MA, October 30, 2018 – Health eVillages, the global non-profit that provides medical resources such as mobile technology, training and apps to low-resource settings, today announced that the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) recently recognized Board of Directors member Diane Munson as an NACD Board Leadership Fellow. NACD Fellows, who earn NACD Fellowship—The Gold Standard Director Credential®— stand within the highest echelon of those committed to excellence in the boardroom.
As the highest standard of credentialing for directors and governance professionals, NACD Fellowship is a comprehensive and continuous program of study that empowers Fellows with the latest insights, intelligence, and leading boardroom practices—year after year.
“I am honored to be a Director on the Health eVillages’ Board and to help the organization advance its goal to improve global health care access and quality through capacity-building activities and the education and training of health care providers,” said Diane Munson. “The resources, insights, and connections I’ve made through NACD Fellowship will be key assets to Health eVillages, as well as to my professional growth as a Director.”
During her more than 35-year career, Diane has served as a senior healthcare executive including positions of CEO, Corporate Officer and Division President in public and private-equity backed companies. She has managed product, distribution and service businesses; her expertise is strategic planning, operations management, marketing, growth initiatives, business turnarounds, mergers and acquisition integrations, and divestitures. Diane has significant Board of Director experience serving for-profit and philanthropic organizations.
“Diane is the quintessential example of a dedicated Board member,” said Health eVillages Founder and President, Donato Tramuto. “She believes with all her heart in the Health eVillages mission to empower clinicians to improve global health and well-being through the delivery of mobile technology and community-focused solutions, extending life with dignity and purpose. And Diane continues to commit her time and talents to making a difference.”
“We are proud to announce that Diane Munson has joined NACD’s credentialed directors and has taken the next step in the pursuit of boardroom excellence,” said Peter Gleason, CEO of NACD. “Our fellows help advance the highest standards for those who serve in the boardroom, strengthening our businesses, and driving director professionalism. The impact of this program is unmatched and they should be commended for their ongoing commitment to their own professional development.”
NACD Fellows provide a snapshot of the caliber of directors engaged in continuous learning with NACD—the recognized authority on leading boardroom practices that more than 17,000 directors rely on to lead with confidence.
